Now this is what I’m talking about! A fantastic way to use fashion for the good of all. Girls Inc, a non-profit that “works to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold” is hosting an excellent benefit this Friday evening that brings area celebrities and purse designers collaborations on to the runway.
This event is the main fundraiser for this great organization, and a lovely way to begin Haute Verte Couture’s Fashion for Good Series.
International Music Legend, Dionne Warwick is headlining the Power of the Purse event, along with 13 other celebs, including the Rose City Rollers roller skating team, and Kenneth Pogson and Tres Shannon, founders of Portland staple Voodoo Donuts. It’s sure to be a very Portland (read wacky-creative) very fun time. Designer collaborators include, Naturally Knotty Designs and Minou-Minou. Tickets are available online, or by calling Girls Inc. at (503) 230-0054. See below for specifics, and let HVC know about your next Fashion for Good event so we can be sure to reward the many ways those who love fashion can help others.
