According to the U.S. Bureau of International Labor affairs, the International Labor Organization estimates that the total number of child workers is approximately 100-200 million.
Haute Verte Couture is working to develop awareness programs and educational campaigns that target the women and girls currently living and working in sweatshop conditions due to their involvement in the garment and apparel production industry. We are working to create simple but effective education and training programs that increase these women and girls working conditions while empowering them with tools to monitor sustainability methods in the production facilities they work in.
Haute Verte Couture will also partner with multiple branches of the U.S. government, international brands and other social entrepreneurs to bring awareness to the current lack of global standards in the sustainable textile and apparel industries to develop one global public standard to measure socially and environmentally responsible methods of production.
