Haute Verte Couture is conducting research and developing programs that focus on the relationship between the clothing and textile industry’s dependence on water. Preliminary findings note that while the health of water is currently taken for granted in global production there is an increased emphasis on sustainability brought about by consumer demand for social and environmental responsibility which has created a demand for the textile and clothing industries to re-think their relationship with this important natural resource.
